Hawaii in April, 1935, witnessed by 25,000 San Franciscans. In the background is the still incomplete S.F.-Oakland Bay bridge. Yerba Buena Island, later to become Treasure Island and the site of the Golden Gate Exposition, and also PAA's West Coast base. It would in turn become a large Naval Base during World War II and PAA would work for the U.S. Navy.
