The J3F here in Pacific War markings, probably around 1943. It took all of 1942 for the Navy and Army to phase their aircraft into combat colors and tone down the insignias to just a white star in a dark blue circle. Gone too was the shiney silver and yellow trim with flag striped rudders. It was the Japanese who had the flashy aircraft markings and colors in 1941-42. |
