was detected by a Navy destroyer and sunk at the very beginning of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

This was far inside the harbor area.

During the attack on Pearl Harbor, a

B-314 was in-bound for landing, but swung around and made an emergency

landing at Hilo Bay on the Big Island.
