Howard Hughes at the controls, like a 1940's Starship Commander, ready to push the throttles of eight powerful engines and lift his giant ship off the water and fly all the way across the Pacific. Hughes was the only person to ever actually fly the monster seaplane and it was during a high speed taxi that he lifted the entire beast off the water for about a mile before setting it back down again. Forever.
